A Canadian English Teacher at RISE Immersion Subject English;Personal Skills: Personal Summary. An experienced teacher with interactive, hands on teaching style. Specializing in problem solving and learning through teambuilding activities, full body response techniques to learning and independent learning strategies. I believe to be a teacher, you must also be able to put yourself in the shoes of the student, so you can experience the problems they deal with when learning and be more effective in improving any learning issues students may have.Teambuilding: Creating activities which involve communication between not only the teacher and student, but most important, teamwork, and communication between students. Teambuilding and teamwork skills are crucial to the development of a child from toddler to adulthood and beyond. Without teamwork and peer communication skills, academic performance means nothing.Full Body Response to Learning: Teaching students in a way that involves the teacher and students in movement, actions, and kinesthetic approaches to learning. It is easy to copy words from a white board, but it is much more interactive and fitting to a child’s growing body to create those words with blocks, or to use an interesting game on a SMART board to teach through kinesthetic techniques. The results are better understood concepts and a better comprehension of lesson content. Examples of ways to integrate Full Body Response learning techniques to your classroom include use of blocks, toys, and learning tools; incorporating charades and theatrics into your lessons; and encouraging movement and actions in learning. Technology: The world is growing closer together with technology. The use of technology is everywhere. In a world where technology will no doubt be an important factor in every aspect of life, it is essential to introduce students to it early and through interactive and interesting methods. Use of videos, audio clips, games, and SMART technology can create a varied technique in which learners from any background or age can be exposed to creative learning methods beyond the traditional classroom.Leadership Skills: Whether you plan on being a leader or work for one, ability to lead others is an essential skill. Allowing children develop these skills early can make them more sociable and adapt better to the life’s social structure adults. It also fosters independence which maintains and strengthens confidence and self-respect. Ways of integrating these skills in teaching include allowing students to become an assistant teacher, encouraging public speaking, and performance based learning techniques.ENGLISH Teacher –Tutoring and teaching second language student in Canadian Immigration Services office, Art teacher and director at Sunchild Aboriginal School, since August 2009.ESL Teacher – English Literature and Business teacher at Beijing Bacui Bilingual School in Beijing, Kindergarten homeroom teacher at BBBS kindergarten in Beijing, ESL teacher at Saxoncourt English School in Shandong and in Beijing divisions, Foreign Teacher at RISE Immersion Subject English in Beijing.
